I do believe that the PSL took a decision that was in the best interest of South African football in general, including the fans.
Already the PSL has announced huge increases in grants to the Premiership and Mvela Golden League teams.
This means that all the teams will be able to pay their players better. These players, some of whom are bread winners in their homes, will be able to support their families better.
Better pay for players will lead to better stability of the teams, which will lead to increased performance. The PSL-SuperSport agreement can only benefit football and the community, never mind what the SABC apologists would like us to believe.
