Former professional soccer player Jackie "Styles" Ledwaba has commended government efforts to use Seshego Stadium as a 2010 World Cup training venue.
Peter Mokaba Stadium, which is next to the new sports complex built for the World Cup, is one of the training venues.
The other training venue will be built in Mankweng, though the Limpopo government and Polokwane Municipality are still to discuss the funding.
"I was so happy when I heard that Seshego Stadium is one of the venues that will be used for the World Cup. This is commendable.
"The stadium has a rich history when it comes to soccer development in Limpopo. Almost all the big names in soccer in Limpopo have played at the venue," said Ledwaba.
