Eastern Cape Premier Nosimo Balindlela is under pressure from her portfolio committee to release the Pillay Commission report at the end of this month.
The commission, which was set up by Balindlela to probe maladministration in the provincial government, was allocated R15million by the Bhisho legislature.
Portfolio committee chairman Chris Motsilili said his committee had given Balindlela until the end of this month to make the report public.
Balindlela's spokesman Masiza Mazizi said the premier had referred the report to President Thabo Mbeki.
