Three members of an East Rand family, who died in an accident while on their way to a relative's funeral, will be buried in Limpopo at the weekend.

Simon Mpoku Makola, 35, his seven-month-old daughter, Bonolo, and his brother, Daniel Mapholo Makola, 51, died on Saturday morning when their car collided with a heavy-duty truck in Bronkhorstspruit in thick mist.

Simon's wife Daisy, the only survivor, was admitted to hospital.

Molopo described Daisy's condition as improving.

The family was travelling to GaMarodi village at GaMashabela in the Jane Furse area when the accident happened.

A relative, Simon Molopo, said the funeral service would start at 7am tomorrow.

Mourners will leave the family home for the local cemetery at 10am.
