Sporty face-lift for Ford Focus

The popular Ford Focus has received yet another face-lift.

Some of the features to be found in this year's Ford Focus model are a new front bumper, revised rear bumper, indicator repeaters mounted on side mirrors, new wheel designs, new body colours, curtain air bags - optional on all models - and cruise control.

The Focus is entering its mid- life cycle after its introduction into the market in 2005.

Interior changes include a change in the foil design of the centre stack and the addition of cruise control as a standard feature on all 2litre derivatives.

To further enhance the already impressive safety profile of the car, with the exception of the Focus 1,6 Ambiente, the manufacturers will now offer all Focus models with curtain air bags as an optional extra. All models currently feature ABS brakes with EBD, and dual front air bags as standard equipment. Side air bags are also standard on all models except the Focus Ambiente variants.

Subtle design enhancements to the exterior styling give the Focus a fresh new appearance.

The front bumper is new, and the rear bumper now sports a painted lower section. Indicator repeaters mounted on the side mirrors not only add to the aesthetic appeal of the vehicle, but are also a valuable safety feature.

The 1,6 litre Ambiente produces 77kW of power at 6000rpm, and torque of 145Nm at 4000rpm. The 2,0 TDCi has power of 100kW at 4000rpm and 340Nm of torque at 2000rpm.
