Steve "Disco" Makua, coach of National First Division (NFD) side Witbank Spurs, is still waiting for the team's managers to offer him a contract.
Makua said: "The management is taking advantage of me because I'm a local coach."
He believes that he should have been given a contract before the last season ended.
Makua twice saved Spurs from relegation - in the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.
He claimed that all along he was working on a verbal contract.
"I'm still interested in coaching the team. But if they won't offer me a contract I will move on and wish the team all the best and hope that they get a better coach than me," said Makua, a former midfield maestro with Orlando Pirates and the now defunct Witbank Black Aces.
Thabo Moroape, Spurs' spokesman, confirmed that Makua had not been offered a new contract.
"The whole team is on break. It's not only Makua who has not been offered a new contract but several players also. Next week the team directors will sit down when a way forward will be decided," he said.
