Health delivery budget

Mpumalanga's department of health and social services will today present its policy and budget speech for 2007-2008.

Department spokesman Mpho Gabashane said the province had made significant progress in health generally, and particularly in fighting HIV-Aids.

He said the MEC for health would also speak about service delivery.

"MEC William Lubisi is expected to outline the measures that were put in place to ensure that our people not only have access to health care services, but also that it is done with the utmost respect to human dignity," he said.

He said the department was confident that its district health services plan could deliver "efficient, effective and quality health care". - Alfred Moselkgomo
