History has shown Gatsha was never a liberator. He was mistaken as a genuine contributor by the ANC and was asked by the movement to fill the void in the 1970s. But he immediately showed his true colours by allowing himself to be used by the Dutch.
He carried out a total onslaught strategy. He was a typical Bantustan leader who was greedy and selfish. He continues to prove he is not a liberator.
He continues to threaten, maim and kill African people as he did at Biko's funeral. The brother-on- brother violence of the 80s and ahead of the first democratic elections bear testimony to exactly what he is. No one can doubt his credentials in the oppressive forces since the day he left the ANC.
All he does is please his own selfish needs and protect what he amassed by hook or by crook. He gained a lot of wealth through his dirty tricks - companies, shares in apartheid companies, farms in Natal etc.
He is the biggest threat to harmony besides the verkrampte Dutch South Africans. Honouring him will be selling out to all the combatants and innocent people that were massacred. He has more blood on his hands than all the Dutch leaders put together.
