Goodman Ngobeni, Easthigh College coach, has vowed to win the soccer section of the Silulumanzi cup for Mbombela high schools.

Speaking after his school thrashed Sakhile High School 4-0 to advance to the last 16, he said they feared no school.

"I trust my boys. They play brilliant football and are a bunch of dedicated players. It will mean the end of the road for any school that will be drawn against us," said Ngobeni.

A hat-trick by Sibusiso Sibiya and one strike by Rhulani Mathebula knocked out Sakhile.

Sibiya started the goal spree in the 14th minute before Mathebula made it 2-0 in the 37th minute.

The enterprising Sibiya made it 3-0 in the 60th minute. He completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute.

Other soccer results: Madlesive 1, Sifokotile 0; Silingane 2, Mntungwa 3; Vulindlela 1, Jacob Mdhluli 0.

Netball: Valencia 7, Easthigh 6; Siphumelele 3, Bonginhlanhla 8; Zwelisha 1, Khanyisile 14; Silingane 16, Tikhontele 20.

Meanwhile, the last 16 draw in both netball and soccer will be conducted today at the Silulumanzi workshop at 2.30pm.
