The Free State government is well on schedule in terms of the preparations for the fourth SA Games in Bloemfontein from September 23 to 29.

Tankiso Zola, department of sports and culture communications manager, said all nine provinces will take part in the yearly tournament.

This year's competition is a joint partnership between the department of sports and recreation and the Mangaung Local Municipality.

The games will be launched tomorrow where the official logo will be unveiled.

The website address of the games will also be made public.

A total of 13 sporting codes - boxing, tennis, cricket, gymnastics, netball, table tennis, golf, athletics, goal ball, swimming, soccer, hockey and rugby - will be played.

"A local organising committee has been established to oversee the preparations and running of the games, so far so good," said Zola.

"It is made up of representatives from the department of sports, arts and culture, the municipality, Free State Sport Academy, Free State Sport Council and federations."
