The new season of popular dance competition Strictly Come Dancing will be broadcast on SABC2 from Thursday.
As with the two previous seasons of this celebrity dance competition, many celebrities will be taking part.
For the first time in this competition, Sunday Times journalist Lesley Mofokeng will be trading his pen for the dance floor when he partners Sara Els.
Strictly Come Dancing will feature a one-hour dance competition, similar to what viewers enjoyed last season, followed by a one-hour break. Thereafter, a half-hour results show will be broadcast where contestants with the lowest score will be sent home.
The show will be screened on Thursday at 7.30pm.
"SABC2 has made changes to its schedule to bring more quality local content in the prime-time slot. Potentially, a bigger audience will watch on Thursdays because people go out on Saturdays and are less likely to follow the reality format," said Ed Worster, SABC2's programme manager.
"The split is also in line with the way Strictly Come Dancing is put together in other countries."
The Carlton Hotel's ballroom will once again be the venue for the show's production.
The female contestants are songstress Patricia Lewis, who will team up with Marcel Vilonel, Lieschen Botes, a Wonderbra model who'll be dancing with Ryan Hammond, and Candice Moodley, Eastern Mosaic presenter who will dance with Quintus Jansen.
Thembisile Ntaka, 2003 Coca-Cola Popstars winner and recording artist, is paired with Thabo Moloto, who tore a ligament during rehearsals last season and was the first to be voted off when he danced with the controversial Babalwa Mneno.
The male contestants are Erald Felix, 50/50 host, who will team up with Mary Martin, Olympic silver medallist and Potchefstroom's golden boy Hezekiel Sepeng, who will team up with Lindsey Muckle.
Hip-hop Pantsula, whose real name is Jabulani Tsambo, will be dancing with Hayley Bennet.
The judges still remain Dave Campbell, Lilian Phororo, Salome Sechele, and Tyrone Watkins.
The show will once again be hosted by Ian von Memerty and Sandy Ngema.
Don't miss Strictly Come Dancing, on Thursday at 7.30pm and again at 9.30pm on SABC2. It will be repeated on Saturdays at 10pm on the same channel.
