Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said reports of an economic boom in South Africa was government propaganda similar to that of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany, the SABC reported yesterday.

He condemned language used by government to convince the public there was a better life for all and that South Africa had entered a season of new hope.
