A question mark hangs over the cancellation of R50000 bail of a top Limpopo soccer official charged with corruption.
This follows an application in the Polokwane magistrate's court this week that the bail paid by Mvela Golden League team City Pillars' chief executive Peter Koutroulis be cancelled and returned to him.
Police arrested Koutroulis and the team's coach, Jacob Sakala, on March 11 for allegedly paying Solomon Molamodi, a referee's coordinator in Limpopo, to fix a match.
The case was postponed to July 3, when reasons for the application to have Koutroulis' bail cancelled will be heard. - Frank Maponya
