World Cup lifeline for small business

The Local Organising Committee has given all the small, medium and micro enterprises that missed the deadline to submit their data, a lifeline.

The Local Organising Committee has given all the small, medium and micro enterprises that missed the deadline to submit their data, a lifeline.

Danny Jordaan, the LOC's chief executive, has urged the SMMEs who did not submit information on their businesses to do so at their offices at Safa House in Nasrec.

"We ran adverts in the media some time ago calling on all the SMMEs to submit their data to the Local Organising Committee," he said.

Jordaan said there will be a business opportunities workshop at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park on June 19 and 20.

"We are going to invite all the stakeholders in the business to attend the workshop; there will be others that will take place in the host cities."

Tumi Makgabo, the LOC's communications officer, said members of the public will be informed of the dates and venues for the workshops in the host cities.

For more World Cup-related information, the public can phone the LOC on (011) 567 2010 during office hours. - Ramatsiyi Moholoa
