Communications firm Verizon has ended its deal with R&B singer Akon following his raunchy dance with a 14-year-old girl.
Verizon had been promoting the Smack That hit-maker as a featured artist in their ringtone service aimed at the youth market.
They were also sponsors of his tour with Gwen Stefani.
Akon performed a sexy sequence with Danah Alleyne at a concert in Trinidad, prompting the country's prime minister to order a formal investigation. The club where the concert was held has been closed.
In a statement Verizon said: "This week the partnership ended. We are no longer sponsoring the tour." - Wenn
