The tables have turned against the disgruntled National Association of People Living with HIV-Aids (Napwa) staff members who tried to oust the organisation's director, Nkululeko Nxesi.

Thabisa Dyala and Joe Manciya, who called for Nxesi's resignation, have been fired.

They accused Nxesi of fraud and unfair labour practices.

Thanduxolo Doro, a spokesman for Napwa, confirmed that Dyala and Manciya had been fired.

"The two undermined internal processes of resolving conflicts and codes of conduct. The organisation had no option but to dismiss them.

"Nxesi has been cleared of all the allegations laid against him," said Doro.

He said Napwa had dissociated itself from the allegations and actions of Dyala and Manciya.

The two have been served with court interdicts preventing them from being on Napwa premises, added Doro.

The dispute between the two staff members and the head of the organisation began last month.

During this period disgruntled workers called for the head to resign. Nxesi refused, saying that he was not guilty of fraud or unfair labour practices.

Manciya denied any knowledge of the court interdict.

"I am surprised to hear that I have been dismissed, let alone barred from entering my workplace," he said. "Nobody has relayed such a message to me." he said.

Attempts to speak to Dyala failed.
