702 Talk Radio will host a Mother's Day music festival at Zoo Lake, Johannesburg, on May 13 and the annual event promises to be an exciting outing for music lovers.
Pheladi Gwangwa of 702 said: "The Mother's Day Concert at The Zoo is a firm favourite with our listeners. The event gives people a chance to enjoy music while spending quality time with friends and family."
In keeping with tradition, the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, under the baton of renowned orchestra leader and conductor Richard Cock, will perform a range of timeless classics and a selection of current popular tunes.
Three soloists have been added to make the concert special for mothers.
Artists featured include Lionel Mkhwanazi, Loyiso Bala and Samantha Peo. The three will entertain music fans with their mellow voices. You don't want to miss them.
There will be lots of fun for the young ones and the event will be used to collect clothes, blankets and non-perishable foods for various charities in Johannesburg.
Gates will open at 9am and the all-day show starts at noon.
Tickets are R20 a person. Children under three enter free.
Tickets will be available at The Zoo gates on the day.
