Things to consider when entering the hospitality industry

l Location: make sure that your choice of location works in all seasons and is geared for growth even during quiet periods . The most ideal areas are those that have surrounding attractions, for example, golf courses, nature reserves, lakes or dams and waterfalls;

l Marketing: "One of the most important aspects of my business is marketing," says Maphophe. "You have to make sure that people have a strong distinct image of your establishment."

Junior consultant, international consultant, administrative clerk, accounts consultant and manager;

l Hotels

Chef, waitress, receptionist, housekeeper, salesperson, marketing officer, hotel group reservations, ground staff, conference organiser and public relations officer.
