Town Talk Furnishers last week donated R62700 to the Children Charity Trust's WiniKhaya.
The money was given to the trust at Cotlands, one of the beneficiaries.
The trust is a grouping of five of South Africa's well-known children's charities, which combine their efforts to launch large-scale fundraising campaigns.
Beneficiaries are Cotlands, The Reach for a Dream Foundation, Red Cross Society of South Africa, CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation and Ithemba Trust.
WiniKhaya is a fundraising promotion of the charity trust in which one lucky South African wins R500000 towards a dream home every month.
During their Christmas promotion, which ran from October 2006 to January 2007, Town Talk donated a R5000 voucher, every day, to a lucky WiniKhaya winner.
In adddition, they also donated 99c of every purchase over the Christmas season to the trust.
Jackie Schoemann of the trust said: "We would like to thank Town Talk for their support in bringing excitement to WiniKhaya through their sponsorship, and for the generosity of their donation.
"The company has contributed to building WiniKhaya further to the benefit of all our beneficiary charities."
