Gone are the days when the Internet was reserved for those fortunate few who had connectivity at work. Online connectivity has become the must-have communication medium of choice.
In fact, with even televisions shows now produced exclusively for the web, the proliferation of the Internet shows no signs of slowing down.
Entire households are now competing for time on the web.
Modern families are technologically savvy and want to use the Internet to its full potential. However, this can be quite problematic .
Sentech recently launched the MyWireless flexiFamily to simplify connectivity for the entire family, without extra contracts and costly equipment.
"We recognise that each household has a number of users. FlexiFamily provides one joint wireless broadband requiring one account, but catering for many users," explains Marcel Steyn, MyWireless product manager at Sentech.
"With the package, each user will receive their own modem, username and e-mail address and an allocated amount of bandwidth," he says.
If a family has four users, and the joint account provides 1Gigabyte of data, three will share 450MB and the main account holder will have 550MB.
"MyWireless flexiFamily simplifies entry to the market - the 24-month contract only costs R399 a month and includes a modem with R49 charged for each additional user. Also, refurbished modems can be purchased from us for R100, while stocks last," says Steyn.
