The 31-year-old woman who allegedly set her boyfriend alight after a quarrel over condoms appeared in the Idutywa magistrates' court, Eastern Cape police said yesterday.
Lusindiso Sogiba, 40, died of his injuries two weeks after being admitted to East London's StDominic's Hospital, said Captain Lingisile Magama.
His girlfriend, Veliswa Manyenyeza, allegedly doused him with petrol and set him alight on February 24, after he argued with her about condoms he found in her possession.
She was arrested on Monday in Gcuwa after the public alerted the police to her whereabouts.
Manyenyeza appeared in court on Tuesday and was released on R2000 bail. - Sapa
