One of the qualities of a mature and complete presenter is the ability to adapt to any programme.
I think DJ Sbu was good when he was still at YFM where he was the anchor of the YLens show. His presentation style was in line with his audience's taste and his slot was at a different time from that of the Ukhozi FM show he presents.
At Ukhozi he is anchoring a breakfast show which is supposed to entertain, inform and educate. He dismally fails in the latter two functions.
His first two shows failed to live up to expectations. Irritation creeps in when he continues to spend the show beating a DJ Sbu drum, and incessantly bleating about the national audience he now has. We know that.
His attempts at pranks using Skhova is a failure because the audience is different.
Sbu must be reminded that at Ukhozi he is not a DJ, but a presenter. Instead of dissing other breakfast presenters, he should learn from them.
DJ Chomane Chomane of Lesedi FM is a motor-mouth, but at least he tries to make his breakfast show a breakfast show.
Sbu has great potential. He just thinks he is all that he is not.
