This was said by Peter Maimane, the Lions' technical adviser, who favours the squad not to disappoint the South Africans in a crucial game.

"On Friday the SA Under-19 team displayed one of the best performances since the formation of the competition. The backline and forwards complemented each throughout the proceedings,'' said Maimane:

On their way to the semifinals the SA Under-19 team beat Fiji 36-5, lost to France 17-8 and disposed of Ireland 33-5.
