Silver Stars are bent on making it a habit of featuring in cup finals and grabbing any silverware on offer.
This comes after Stanley "Bingo" Kgatla, "The Tycoons' influential midfielder, made it clear on Saturday that next on the line was the Absa Cup.
Stars booked themselves a place in the semifinals after a 7-6 victory over SuperSport United at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.
Kgatla got R5 000 for being selected man of the match by the media.
The otherwise boring match was decided on penalties after the two sides failed to score both in 90 and 30 minutes regulation and extra time.
The handful of supporters who watched the game, breathed a sigh of relief when goalie Tapuwa Kapini saved United's Teko Modise's penalty during the sudden death shootout.
The only thing that kept the crowd entertained were the brass bands of the two sides, who should have been jointly been given man of the match awards.
Scorers for Stars during the penalty shootout were Willem Jackson, Dale Studzenski, Solomon Mathe, Inusah Abass, Hareaipha Marumo, Kgatla and Koketso Mmotong.
Those who made no mistake for United were Maimane Phiri, Daine Klate, Richard Rantjie, Katlego Mphela, Tony Tsabedze and Ricardo Katza.
It was a sweet revenge for Kgatla and company who were hammered 3-0 by Matsatsantsa a Pitori in a Castle Premiership match.
"United have been frustrating us, we are excited that we have finally downed them and moved a step closer to yet another final," said Kgatla.
"We have raised the hopes of our supporters and people of North West by winning the Telkom Knockout Cup, they expect more and we won't let them down.
"It won't be easy with clubs like Sundowns taking part, but you have to beat all the giants to be crowned the best," said Kgatla.
Owen da Gama, Stars' coach, said: "I know many people did not give us a chance, but I would like to commend the boys for a job well done."
Pitso Mosimane, United's coach, said: "I'm not disappointed at all. Look, we played well but could not score goals."
Mosimane also confirmed that talks between himself and Safa for a full-time Bafana Bafana assistant coach job began last week.
"We are still talking," said Mosimane.
