Orlando Pirates will not take any action against the players involved in a highly publicised dressing room bust-up.
"We will not take any action because nothing serious happened," Bucs chairman Irvin Khoza said yesterday.
"I have received reports on the incident and fortunately our physio, John Williams, inspected the wound.
"He has assured me it was a small incision.
"Lucky scratched Lelo with a nailcutter. No knife was involved.
"Unfortunately, the whole matter was sensationalised," Khoza said.
In the opposite corners in the alleged fight were two DRC citizens, striker Lelo Mbele and goalkeeper Francis Chansa in one corner, with Lucky Lekgwathi, a South African and a defender, in the other.
Lekgwathi is alleged to have stabbed Mbele, whose joke he could not take.
The club insisted the two had been fooling around when the "minor accident" happened.
Chansa is said to have been so aggrieved at the sight of his compatriot's injury that he threatened to lay charges with the police on Mbele's behalf.
It is alleged that a war of words between Chansa and Lekgwathi had ensued.
The acrobatic keeper yesterday claimed that Lekgwathi had threatened his life and had also sent xenophobic vitriol in his direction.
