RIYADH - A Saudi man lost part of his nose in a heated argument with his two wives that started when he threatened to marry a third woman .

Judaie bin Salim jokingly told his wives that he would marry again if they were unable to resolve their differences over how to divide their new house. He said he repeated the threat because of how his wives reacted to it the first time.

This proved to be one provocation too far for the women, who attacked him and left him with a part of his nose missing, broken nasal cartilage and in need of seven stitches.

"I never thought my wives would respond to such a degree," he said - and added that the only way to restore his dignity would be to take a third wife.
