Not wind, dust or rain could have stopped Thaba Nchu residents attending the second yearly Easter festival held at Maria Moroka Park at the weekend.

People braved the rainy weather and arrived in droves to watch the lineup that included Ntando, Ringo, Stimela, Mafikizolo, Malaika, Budaza and Free State's own Peter Nthwane.

Melodi Promotions, the organisers of the show, also had a lineup of local artists who performed during the daytime of the 12-hour show.

Though the show was a hit with the crowd, personnel from Melodi need to learn people skills. Revellers complained about the rude treatment they received when they arrived.

As always Ntando Bangani, who recently left his record label TS Records under a cloud, did not disappoint.

His performance left one mesmerised woman in dreamland after he danced on top of her, Usher style.

Ringo only gave the crowd a taste of what he can do with four songs.

Though the rain almost ruined the event, the crowd sheltered under umbrellas and trees, and enjoyed the show.

And it would not have been a BBT, Bloemfontein, Botshabelo, Thaba Nchu, show without Celtic supporters chanting what they are known for at stadiums.
