Promoter Rodney Berman says his high-powered talks with the WBC, IBF and IBO are bearing fruit and he now seeks unification bouts for his fighters.

His view is that the confusion, which he said had been caused by some world sanctioning bodies, must come to an end.

"Fighters who unify world titles earn respect in the eyes of the public. Our fighters are geared to achieve at the highest level and we intend giving them every possible opportunity to do that," Berman said.

He was referring to Malcolm Klassen, Cassius Baloyi, Takalani Ndlovu, Thomas Mashaba, Mbwana Matumla and Nkosinathi Joyi.

Baloyi holds the IBO junior lightweight belt, while Ndlovu, Mashaba, Matumla and Joyi all hold that organisation's junior feather, feather-, bantam- and strawweight belts respectively.

Klassen is the IBF junior lightweight holder.

Berman said the journey would start when Ndlovu challenges Canada's Steve Molitor for the IBF junior featherweight crown.

Mashaba will meet Eric Aiken for the IBF's number one position, while Tanzanian Matumla clashes with Silence Mabuza for the vacant IBO bantamweight championship.

Isaac Hlatswayo and Joseph Makaringe will clash for the vacant IBO welterweight title in one of the undercards for the Matumla-Mabuza clash at Emperors Palace on May 12.
