An Easter weekend party ended in horror for a mute 20-year-old grade 11 pupil from Gauteng when she was raped in Butterworth in Eastern Cape.
Police spokesman Jackson Manatha said the young woman, who was visiting her family, had attended a party with friends at Bungeni informal settlement on Friday.
The party ended early on Saturday morning and the girl went home, said Manatha.
About an hour later, two men entered the victim's home and abducted her. They took her to their shack where they raped her.
Manatha said the victim reported the matter through the help offriends using sign language.
