Guillo "S'Dumo" Marapyane, Softball South Africa (SSA) president, says the national body will not rush to take over the yearly softball tournament in Eastern Cape.
This after the Eastern Cape Softball Federation (EPSF) revealed that it intended to approach SSA to sanction the yearly Mxolisi Ngquseka Memorial Softball Tournament.
The event is staged in remembrance of the late Mxolisi Ngquseka who died in a car accident in 2004.
Ngquseka was the province's No 1 pitcher and played club softball for Mbizana Youngsters.
Nompendulo Msi, EPSF president, said they will ensure that they lure as many softball teams as possible to the tournament in future.
