Muvhango, one of the country's leading TV soap operas, is introducing some new faces and will now be on our screens four days a week.

SABC1's Generations and SABC3's Isidingo, other well-loved soapies, are broadcast five days a week.

Carlo MacFarlane, Siphiwe Mkhize, and Brenda Mukhwevo will debut on Muvhango in the near future.

Macfarlane takes on the role of Malcolm Kramer, a hot-shot lawyer employed by the Mukhwevho Milling Company.

Simphiwe Mkhize will play Kukie Mosotho, a deaf character.

Millicent Makhado will be replacing Dineo Lebakeng as Agnes, while Brenda Mukhwevo will play Lufuno.

The producers of Muvhango have confirmed these characters will be introduced in middle of May.

Currently Muvhango screens Mondays to Wednesdays, but as from Thursday, it will be shown Mondays to Thursdays.

Muvhango is the brainchild of playwright, director and poet Duman ka Ndlovu.

"This is a far cry from when we began as a 13-part drama series in September 1997," Ka Ndlovu said.

"Our viewers have spoken and we have listened," said Buli Siwani, Muvhango's brand manager.
