I am disappointed with Essop Pahad's reasoning on Zimbabwe. Ordinary Zimbabwean citizens need our help.

When journalists give a true account of events in that country, they stand to be denounced as meddling in the affairs of a sovereign state. The world can now see what an ordinary Zimbabwean goes through.

We are not asking the government to tell Robert Mugabe what to do, but we are humbly requesting people like Pahad to call a spade by its name, not a big spoon.

Take a hard line and act decisively.
