This is the challenge faced by top businesswoman Danisa Baloyi, who is caught up in the multi-million rand storm surrounding Fidentia Holdings. She has announced her resignation as a director from scores of companies.

This was the appropriate step for Baloyi to take and showed that she appreciated the seriousness of the Fidentia debacle and the damage it has caused to her public standing.

The prospect of orphaned beneficiaries going hungry as a result of the scandal makes the whole saga particularly unpalatable.
