Such acts of inhumanity were once carried out by white racist farmers who were bent on making black people feel inhuman. This was the trend in the country before democracy.

I am not for a moment suggesting that only white farmers commit such crimes because I believe crime knows no colour and there are many white farmers, particularly in the organised farming community, who accepted our country's transformation and are working with the government to combat crime. Crime is crime, irrespective of who commits it, and all of us must fight it and the people who perpetrate it.

I hate all types of crime, but particularly those against young children and girls.

The police must be congratulated on the sterling job they are doing, particularly in Free State where many arrests are made very quickly.

It is incumbent on our communities to participate in policing forums to help the men and women in blue to bring all criminals to book.
