The Freedom Park Trust handed over the remains of four former freedom fighters to their families in Pretoria at the weekend, 20 years after their deaths.
MK cadres Harold Sefolo, Andrew Makupe, Jackson Maake and Justice Mbizana are believed to have been tortured and electrocuted and Justice Mbizana to have been tortured, drugged and killed on a private farm near Pretoria by apartheid-era police in 1987. Their bodies were then placed on explosives which were detonated.
The bodies were exhumed at the Winterveld Cemetery in July 2005. - Sapa
