Campbell is spending the week scrubbing floors at the Manhattan Sanitation Department in New York as punishment for throwing a cellphone at her housekeeper.

And, according to reports, she is being watched through the lens by Steven Klein.

Sources say Klein is compiling shots of the star, before the pair reunite in his studio when her week is over.

Experts claim the catwalk star plans to use the punishment as a publicity stunt to raise her profile in the US.

Reports also suggest that the supermodel will go from clean-up duty to the editor's desk after agreeing to take charge of an issue of Britain's GQ magazine once her community service is complete.
