Powerade Athletics Club athletes dominated the men's section of the Stadium to Stadium 15km road race, with Vincent Seng winning the yearly race in Katlehong yesterday.

Seng, who won the Diepkloof Half-marathon in Soweto a fortnight ago, clocked 43min:12sec.

He was closely followed by Sello Legodi 20 seconds later in 43:32, while defending champion Augustine Manamela came third in 43:46.

Seng started the race at a slow pace and ran behind the leading pack of Legodi and Manamela for almost the entire race.

But he caught up with the duo at the uphill (12km mark) and stepped up the pace 2km from the finish, on his way to victory.

In the women's category, Kefilwe Mofokeng of Raiders Athletic Club took the laurels in 55:36.

Second place went to Elizabeth Phaka of Diepsloot in 56:04 and Gauteng Striders runner Jane Pooe grabbed third spot in 57:25.
