Allow me to express my disgust with Butana Khompela, chairman of parliament's portfolio committee on sports.
It is increasingly obvious that Khompela is being used by some of our soccer bosses to sow seeds of confusion in our football.
His recent statement with regards to Irvin Khoza and Molefe Oliphant is baffling.
How can he call for Khoza to quit soccer when the man has done so much for our football? I also doubt if Fifa will take kindly to this because they have made it clear that Khoza must be involved all the way.
Since Khoza was elected chairman of the PSL, the organisation has grown.
PSL finances have never looked this good and sponsorships are flooding in. Khoza was instrumental in ensuring that the World Cup comes to South Africa, even though some do not want to acknowledge this fact.
Khompela should also get his facts correct - how was Oliphant involved in the appointment of the new PSL chief executive? Remember how the PSL was in shambles after Trevor Phillips left and a local was appointed in his position? Phillips had to be recalled to fix the mess.
Khompela must ensure that rugby and cricket are reflective of the demographics of this country.
The soccer public can no longer be taken for granted. We know what is going on in soccer.
