Legendary Grammy- award winners, George Benson and Al Jarreau will open the new R460million ICC Durban Arena tonight.
ICC chief executive officer Miller Matola said it was an honour to be hosting such talented musicians.
"We look forward to continuing this precedent," he said.
The venue can accommodate sporting events such as boxing, tennis, hockey, gymnastics, motocross and equestrian as well as major theatrical performances.
The Arena has doubled the size of the ICC, making it half a kilometre long and has an audience capacity of 10 000.
The space can accommodate heights of up to 12 metres and can be divided into four smaller halls. - Mary Papayya
