Free-spending bride Moleboheng Molotsane, who made headlines for using letterheads from President Thabo Mbeki's office to con her way into throwing the most lavish wedding for herself in the Vaal, now wants to be an actress.
She asked the Vereeniging magistrates' court yesterday to relax her bail conditions so that she can take up acting.
Molotsane, 26, pictured right, and her groom, Benjamin Matli, were arrested and charged with fraud in January.
She had used the presidential letterheads to book her wedding at an exclusive hotel on the banks of the Vaal River.
She had also allegedly defrauded two car hire companies as well as a horse carriage company for her wedding.
The wedding clocked up a bill of about R90 000.
Her lawyer, Johannes Makhae, told the court yesterday that she had joined a casting agency in Johannesburg.
Molotsane is out on bail of R3 500 and is under 24-hour house arrest.
Her lawyer made the application for relaxation of bail conditions on her behalf yesterday and the court did not object. She was granted the opportunity to start her new job.
Magistrate Bruno van Eeden asked Molotsane if her employment was not fraudulent.
Van Eeden said: "If the court should find out that the job is not genuine or you have fabricated the letter through your friends or relatives, then the court will take steps against you.
"Your bail will be forfeited to the state and I will send you back to jail," he warned.
The manager of Zero to Hero casting agency, Michael Ndlovu, last night confirmed that Molotsane was on his agency's books.
However, he would not say which drama Molotsane would be working on.
