The South African under-23s management has managed to persuade the Football Association of Uganda to change the time of the Beijing Olympics qualifier from 4pm to 3.30pm.

The return match is scheduled for March 24 at Kampala Stadium, the same day Bafana Bafana take on Chad in an away 2008 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

"The Ugandans were cooperative, we asked them to change the Olympic qualifier kickoff from 4pm to 3.30pm to accommodate television coverage," said manager Barney Kujane.

"SABC Sport will show both matches, against Uganda and Chad, live on television on the same day. This will enable our people to follow the two national teams."

Kujane returned from the East African country after a three-day inspection tour, which included hotel and a training venue.

"Uganda said the match will be played at Kampala Stadium where they are guaranteed a full house and not the Mandela Stadium.

"However, I have negotiated with the Ugandans to allow us to use the Mandela Stadium for training. I must say I was impressed by their facilities.

"The hotel issue will be finalised in the next few days but I need to speak to the South African Football Association."

Meanwhile, Uganda assembled last Monday to start preparing for the return match. South Africa won the first leg 2-0 on February 7.

The winner of the two-legged qualifier will proceed to the group stages of the qualifiers.
