Superintendent Louis Jacobs said the two men, and a third one who is still on the run, shot at the farmer when he confronted them at about 5am.
"Jacobus Janse van Vuuren, 23, found three men in his car and when he confronted them, they fired a shot, slightly injuring his right hand," said Jacobs.
He said the men fled when Van Vuuren shot back at them.
Jacobs said police later arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man. - Sapa
