Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
The police are baffled by the death of a young man found hanged from the rafters of his house with stab wounds in his neck.
Superintendent Abby Khoabane said that 30-year-old TPP Motsemme, of Extension 6, Embalenhle, in Secunda, Mpumalanga, was found at the family home by his cousin at the weekend.
"He alerted the police and during his inspection of the body before the arrival of the police the cousin found two stab wounds in the neck of the deceased," Khoabane said.
He said they were investigating the possibility that Motsemme was stabbed before being hanged.
He appealed to anyone with information to contact their nearest police station or phone Crime Stop on 08600-10111.
