Audi South Africa has notched up a new sales record.
Last year the manufacturer sold a massive 13000 units.
According to the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa's sales figures for last year, the Audi brand posted 1224 sales - the highest recorded monthly sales figure for Audi in South Africa.
A key contributor to these sales is the new Audi TT Coupe, launched at the end of January. The new TT posted sales of 248 units - the best ever for the TT range.
"We are thrilled with the excellent performance of our new TT," said Greg Levine, general manager of sales and marketing.
"Word from our dealers is that demand for this car is far greater than anticipated, which bodes well for the new TT's acceptance in the marketplace. The Q7 continues to do well for us and we are looking forward to the introduction of our entry-level 3,6 FSI model to bolster sales further.
"We are also very happy that demand for our top model, the Audi A8, continues to be good, boosted by the recently introduced S8," said Levine.
