He allegedly threatened to kill the Sanco president, Mlungisi Hlongwane.
Tofile allegedly sent him death threats by cellphone last year.
Hlongwane is also executive mayor of the Sedibeng district municipality in the Vaal. Tofile, who is out on bail, is expected to appear again in court on Friday. - Ntwaagae Seleka
