A high-powered Fifa delegation has arrived in South Africa for a five-day venue inspection tour ahead of the 2010 World Cup, The Star newspaper reported yesterday. The delegation includes Fifa competitions director Jim Brown, head of media operations Alain Leiblang, head of Fifa's South African 2010 World Cup office Michael Palmer and the football body's coordinator in the country, Horst Schmidt The team is expected to visit Durban, where the World Cup preliminary draw will be held in November. - Sapa
