Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
As an ANC supporter, I think both Jacob Zuma and Thabo Mbeki must step down from the leadership race. I agree with those who say it is the only way to save the ruling party and prevent it from falling apart.
Though Mbeki has played his role, there are so many problems in the party - corruption among MPs, sexual harassment and the ongoing battle between him and Zuma.
It is unfair for Zuma not to be given a chance to prove himself because right now he is the first choice of the masses. But it is not the first time this kind of thing has happened. It happened with Cyril Ramaphosa, whom we wanted to take over from Madiba.
Instead Mbeki took over. He promised to deliver, but he has not delivered on all his promises.
Aids is killing people, crime is rife, companies are exploiting workers, students who have left school and universities cannot get jobs and BEE is for those chosen few who are becoming richer.
Ramaphosa is the right man to lead South Africa.
To Msholozi I say, ayilale nge nxeba. Accept it and quit the leadership race because your detractors will make sure that you do not win.
Though you are the people's choice, quit for the sake of the party and peace. If you do this, you will prove you are not power- hungry and are a man who can stand on your own. God will bless you.
