South Africa's representatives in the prestigious competition, Mamelodi Sundowns, marched into the second round after seeing off Swaziland's Royal Leopards 2-0 in the tiny kingdom last weekend to take a 6-2 aggregate win.

It was also the end of the road for Likhopo from the Mountain Kingdom who were pasted 1-0 by Zanaco and landlocked Lesotho's interest in this year's event were buried. St Eloi Lupopo received a 2-0 beating from APR in another Champions League qualifier.
