They might be depleted but AmaZulu still believe they can dim the regrouped and former pacesetters Silver Stars in the Castle Premiership match at Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday at 3.45pm.

Usuthu, who are still smarting from a 1-2 defeat to Bidvest Wits University at home last Saturday, will miss the experience of veteran linkman John "Shoes" Moshoeu who has not yet recovered from a knee injury.

They are also thin up front, thanks to injuries to Siyabonga Mkhwanazi and Dumisani Ngwenya.

Belux Kasonga will also be missed at the back because of suspension.

AmaZulu, who are bottom on the log, are desperate to move away from the danger zone and their desperation has seen them bring in a Brazilian physical trainer, Alberto Edward Parreira this week.

It will be seen if their new Brazilian coach Julio Cesar Leal will use 'The Tycoons" as a springboard to register his first win at Usuthu after two defeats since his arrival at the team three weeks ago.

"Stars are like any other team in the league; they are beatable," James Dlamini, AmaZulu operations manager, said yesterday.

"It will not be good to our chances to move away from the relegation zone if we lose at home on Sunday. We have to win all our remaining matches (nine) to ensure that we remain in the elite league at the end of the season," he said.

Stars are not taking Usuthu lightly because of their position on the log, though.

"It will be tough down in KwaMashu and we have to be at our best form if we intend to beat them," said Susan Phala, Stars' publicist, yesterday.

"But we have to win this match to reinforce our chances of finishing within the top four bracket this season."

The visitors will be without defender Abass Inusah who is suspended and striker Hareaipha "Simba" Marumo is a doubtful starter.
