Bidvest Wits University, who resemble a hospital casualty ward, intend to add salt to Kaizer Chiefs' wounds when they host Amakhosi in a Castle Premiership game at Milpark Stadium on Sunday at 3.45pm.
The Wits coach, Boebie Solomons, said though they are plagued with injuries they are determined to collect the full points at their home ground.
He said the game was very crucial to the team and their supporters because they want to build the brand at the 5000-seater venue, starting with Chiefs.
The Clever Boys will be without six of their key players.
Top goalscorer Marcos "Pepe" de Jesus dislocated his shoulder at training, while Tebogo Mokoena, Noah Chivuta, Lucas Sebona, Excellent Motshweni and Rene Richards have an assortment of injuries.
Nhlanhla Kubheka is back at training and is available for selection.
The acquisition of the hard-working Marawaan Bantam from Santos could bolster the Clever Boys.
The youngster used to score crucial goals for the "People's Team" and his presence is bound to add value to the Wits side.
"We're disappointed about the injury to De Jesus but we have depth in the team. We're aware that we're meeting a wounded side, but we have to make sure that we strike first when the iron is still hot.
"They'll be eager to bounce back after their recent losses, but it's not going to be a walk in the park. We're going to give it our best shot," said Solomons.
Abram Raselemane, Bantam, Phumudzo Manenzhe and Almiro Lobo are likely to give Amakhosi a hectic afternoon.
Chiefs need to redeem themselves, but this will be a tall order for them after their recent defeats against Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amakhosi players this week visited schools and homes of mentally handicapped children in Soweto, which communications director Thebe "Selepe" Mohatle said was a wonderful exercise for them.
"They took a break to take stock of themselves and to forget the pressure of football. They will be fresh against Wits and we're still in the running for the title," he said.
Chiefs will bank on the likes of Thabo Mooki, Kaizer Motaung, Emmanuel Ngobese, Siyabonga Nkosi and Gert Schalkwyk.
